The TC Freisenbruch will receive TuS Holsterhausen in Bergmannsbusch on the coming matchday. After the last two weak appearances, head coach Peter Schäfer expects his team's performance to improve considerably against their opponent from Holsterhausen.
Last Sunday, the Freisenbrucher team missed their chance to secure sixth place in the table by losing to SV Isinger (0-3). Although the team did not slip down, but still occupies sixth place (42 points), it could have clearly separated itself from its pursuer ESG (38 points) by a three-point finish. So at least for the time being it remains tight and exciting in the fight for the places in the middle of the table.
With the upcoming 27th matchday, the Kreisliga A Süd is now in its absolute final phase: According to the regular schedule, there are still four games to play. Only 12 points remain to be awarded. The next four weeks are decisive for the season end of the teams.
The Freisenbrucher have a very good remaining program in front of their chest, which will demand everything from the troops shortly before the summer break. At least on paper TuS Holsterhausen seems to be the lightest opponent in the last weeks before the end of the season.
With Haarzopf and Heidhausen the Freisenbrucher still have to play against the leader of the table, who is already the champion, as well as against the runner-up. The duel against the ESG at the end of the season could be particularly explosive: With the current table constellation and depending on the outcome of the remaining games, direct rivals would duel on the last matchday of the season, so the game could theoretically be decisive for the final positioning of the teams.
However, it is still a long way for the Freisenbrucher to go until the time has come to think from game to game, with which the concentration should first be fully focused on the upcoming encounter against Holsterhausen.
Despite the fact that the season is already so far advanced, the Freisenbrucher series still stands in the Waldstadion: So far no team has managed to get a threesome in the Busch. Only against FSV Kettwig it was not enough for the TC in Bergmannsbusch to win. With the 2-2 draw they remained undefeated on their home ashes.
In the first leg, on the other hand, the TC managed to win the first away point against Holsterhausen on the 12th matchday, after Peter Schäfer's team had always run out empty. After an early lead, the TC was even trailing at the time, before Colin Thomas equalised shortly before the end to reach the final score of 2-2. This time the Freisenbrucher home team should take care of attacker Pablo Theis Navarro. He scored twice in the first leg for his team.
As strong as the home balance of the Freisenbrucher reads itself (12 wins and one draw in 13 games), it is weak when looking at the away table (1 win and 2 draws in 13 games).
The Holsterhausen players trained by coach Mark Asthoff, who currently occupy eleventh place in the table with 30 points from 26 games, can still slip down to relegation rank in purely mathematical terms. However, with a 10 point lead over the current fourteenth SV Isinger, the advantage is so great that the team no longer has to see itself as acutely threatened with relegation. However, in order to make good ground at the top, the Holsterhauseners have to put in a strong final phase: The SV Burgaltendorf in tenth place in the table has a considerable lead with 35 points on the points account.
Fest stands: the game against Holsterhausen will not be a self runner either, the point division in the first leg has already shown that. With results like a 4-1 against the strong SV Leithe or a draw against the runners-up SuS Haarzopf (0-0), the team from Holsterhausen have already proved that they are always good for a surprise and are also able to score against strong teams.
From the point of view of the Freisenbrucher, the disappointing performance against the SV Isinger calls for a significant increase in performance. It remains to be seen whether the team will be able to present themselves from a much better side this time and meet the demands of the coach duo Elosgé and Schäfer.
The match between the guest team TuS Holsterhausen and the home team TC Freisenbruch will take place on Sunday, May 12 at the Waldstadion Bergmannsbusch. The kick-off of the meeting is at 11 o'clock.
